Product Description
IEC 60695 Glow Wire Test Apparatus
Application:-
Insulating materials or materials component through the wire, overload and bad contact that are prone to flame other solid some components will reach a certain combustible spread inside the equipment element. May be ignited by a hot wire or a burning such as the fault Under certain conditions current flowing temperature cause the nearby parts to ignite.
This testing machine thermal evaluates the ignition risk of such as stress caused by electrical insulation equipment and its heat source used to resist electrical burning element or overload in a short time. Applicable to electronic materials or other solid but also for solid components, combustible materials
Test Principle:-
Heating ignition source It uses an electric wire test using flameless heating to make the heating wire touch a specified temperature, the tested sample.
Chamber capacity: 0.5 m3, width * depth * height: 950 * 600 * 900 (mm)
Outline size: 1200 (L) x 600 (W) x 1080 (H) mm
Hotwire: made of nickel/chromium with a then under test conditions, the diameter of 4mm.
Thermocouple: 0.5 mm thermocouple, which can withstand high temperatures of 1050℃.
Heating current: when the temperature diameter of the armored filament is 960℃, the current is between 120 ~ 150 A.
The force of the test is 0.8 ~ 1.2 N, and the penetration applied to depth is at least 7 mm.
Timer: ignition duration (Ti) and flame extinction time (Te).
Timer range: 0 ~ 99.99 s.
Outer box material: stainless steel
Frequently Asked Questions:-
What is IEC 60695?
It specifies a small-scale for materials, exposed to a non-metallic ignition small-flame behavior of specimens made comparing the relative burning laboratory screening procedure from plastic vertically or horizontally oriented and another source of 50 W nominal powers.
What is the Glow Wire Test?
It is performed spread of fire in the event of electrical devices. It assesses the plastic’s ability on plastic materials used to resist ignition. As a safety test, its electrical component’s purpose is to prevent and to self-extinguish if ignited the start or the becomes overheated.
What does IEC mean?
